Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating days and nights. Schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance. Weekend requirement: 6-9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. Holiday rotation may be required.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in medical-surgical and telemetry units
• Float across multiple hospitals in Zone 3 including OrthoColorado, Longmont United, St. Anthony, and St. Anthony North
• Monitor and titrate heparin drips as needed
• Collaborate with charge nurses and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Adapt quickly to diverse patient populations including cardiac, neuro, ortho, oncology, renal, and surgical cases
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital protocols

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license in Colorado or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent MS-Tele experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Preference for prior neuro experience
• Willingness to float across a 60-mile radius within Zone 3
• Flexibility for rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical skills in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing
• Proficiency in managing patients with cardiac, neuro, ortho, oncology, and general medical conditions
• Ability to titrate heparin and recognize arrhythmias
• Excellent communication and adaptability for floating across multiple units
• Effective teamwork and collaboration in fast-paced environments
