Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, self-scheduling, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma patients in a 28-bed PCU/MedSurg unit
Administer chemotherapy and monitor for adverse reactions
Titrate drips such as insulin, cardizem, and heparin as needed
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to med/surg and PCU units as required to support the team
Ensure patient safety through hourly rounding and evidence-based practices

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent PCU/Oncology experience
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state (compact accepted)
Chemotherapy certification required
BLS and ACLS certification required
ONS/ONCC certification preferred
EPIC experience within 6 months preferred (not a deal breaker)
Driver's license required for radius rule verification

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in chemotherapy administration and monitoring
Proficient in titrating continuous drips (heparin, insulin, cardizem)
Comfortable with ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring (training available)
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Adaptable to floating between PCU and MedSurg levels of care
