Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray/MRI)

Location: Bakersfield, CA

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating shifts including weekends and holidays, on-call with 30-minute response time, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform high-quality X-ray and MRI imaging of brain, MRCP, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities
Float to Mercy Southwest location (approx. 6.5 miles away) as needed
Operate GE and Toshiba imaging equipment with precision
Ensure patient safety and comfort during all procedures
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to deliver accurate diagnoses
Maintain efficient workflow with an average of 100 scans per day

Qualifications

At least 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
Current BLS certification required
ARRT certification in Radiography required
Experience with GE and Toshiba equipment preferred
Proficiency in Radnet and Merge Unity PACS systems

Knowledge & Skills

Expert knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and MRI safety protocols
Skilled in X-ray positioning and radiation safety practices
Strong patient care and communication abilities
Proficient in PACS and electronic medical records (EMR)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
