Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to critically ill neonates in a Level 4 NICU
• Assess and monitor premature infants, cardiac defects, genetic disorders, and surgical cases
• Manage ECMO and cooling therapy with precision and compassion
• Collaborate with neonatologists and midlevels in a 24/7 in-house team
• Perform advanced skills including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes with sterile technique
• Float to Mother-Baby and Labor & Care units as needed for neonatal care
• Serve as a charge nurse and resource for high-risk patients

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of NICU experience with Level 4 exposure
• Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
• BLS and NRP certifications required; Cardiac STABLE preferred
• Previous travel experience is a plus
• Competency in sterile technique and central line dressing changes
• Ability to pass SIMs Lab skills on day one

Knowledge & Skills

• Level 4 NICU nursing including ECMO, cooling, and surgical neonates
• Proficient with Cerner EMR and Phillips telemetry
• Skilled in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
• Understanding of sterile field and infection control
• Experience with 1:2 ICU ratios and stepdown care
• Ability to float to related units
