Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care to oncology and PCU patients in a 28-bed mixed unit
Administer chemotherapy and monitor for adverse reactions
Titrate drips such as heparin, cardizem, and insulin as needed
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to med/surg and PCU units to support team needs
Perform hourly rounding and ensure patient safety and satisfaction

Qualifications

Current RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent PCU and oncology experience
BLS, ACLS, and ONS/ONCC certifications required
Chemotherapy certification required at submission
Willingness to pass an open-book pass/fail exam during orientation (90% required)
Driver's license required for radius verification

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records
Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan, EV-1000)
Skill in administering chemotherapy and managing oncology patients
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills
