Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret telemetry for neuro patients, detecting arrhythmias and changes in condition
• Administer and titrate IV medications including Amio, Cardizem, and Insulin drips
• Perform central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertion with strict sterile technique
• Collaborate with a fast-paced team to manage patients with CVA, TBI, spinal surgery, and neurological disorders
• Provide bedside report and ensure seamless patient handoffs during shift changes
• Float to tele units and tele overflow in ICU as needed to support patient care

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of recent RN experience in a neuro telemetry or acute care setting
• Active BLS and ACLS certification required
• Level 1 Trauma experience is a must
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
• Experience titrating IV drips such as Amio, Cardizem, and Insulin
• Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam and SIMs lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
• Must have reliable transportation and comply with facility grooming policy (natural hair color, no facial piercings, clean shaven for fit test)

• Telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
• Cerner EMR proficiency
• Sterile field technique for central line and Foley procedures
• Neuro assessment and management of CVA, TBI, and spinal surgery patients
• Drip titration of cardiac and insulin infusions
