Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 0645-1915 (day) or 1845-0715 (night), every other weekend and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to obstetric and neonatal patients in a fast-paced LDRP unit
Monitor and interpret fetal strips, titrate medications like pitocin, magnesium, and insulin
Float to MedSurg and ER as needed, assisting with a variety of patient care scenarios
Collaborate with charge nurses, CNAs, and surgical techs to ensure safe and effective care
Adapt quickly to changing patient conditions and unit demands

Qualifications

Current BLS certification required (ACLS, NRP, STABLE preferred)
Previous travel experience and ability to read and interpret fetal strips
Strong critical thinking skills and ability to follow quality metrics
Comfortable floating to different units within the hospital

Knowledge & Skills

Fetal monitoring and interpretation
Medication titration (pitocin, insulin, magnesium)
