Shift Type: Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 7:00 AM, 24-hour on-call coverage

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform cardiovascular surgeries including aneurysm repair, coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), and heart valve replacement
Provide 24-hour on-call coverage for surgical emergencies
Collaborate with hospital staff and utilize EPIC electronic medical records
Conduct hospital rounding and surgery as required

Qualifications

Fellowship training in cardiovascular surgery
Board certified in cardiovascular surgery required
Active South Carolina medical license (no exceptions)
Active ACLS certification
Clean background and NPBD self-query report required

Education

Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
Completed residency in cardiothoracic surgery
Fellowship training in cardiovascular surgery

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in cardiovascular surgery procedures and techniques
Proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently in a hospital setting
