Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to laboring patients and their families, including continuous fetal monitoring and labor support
• Titrate IV medications such as Magnesium, Oxytocin, and other drips as ordered
• Manage postpartum care for mother-baby couplets, ensuring recovery and breastfeeding support
• Assist with neonatal resuscitation and stabilize newborns until transfer if needed
• Float to the emergency department for 1:1 observation and support as required
• Collaborate with surgery team during C-sections, focusing on newborn care and assessment

Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP or Labor and Delivery experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• Ability to pass fit testing for N95 respirators (facial hair must be removable)
• Comfortable working independently in a rural hospital setting with limited resources

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in fetal monitoring and interpretation (EFM)
• Proficiency in IV titration and management of antepartum and postpartum medications
• Strong neonatal resuscitation skills and knowledge of CPAP/BiPAP/high flow
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills with providers and multidisciplinary team
• Adaptability and problem-solving in a fast-paced, resource-limited environment
