Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, block scheduling, every third weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to laboring mothers and newborns in a rural hospital setting
Manage antepartum and postpartum patients, titrating drips like magnesium and oxytocin as needed
Support mom/baby couplets with evidence-based nursing practices
Collaborate with a close-knit team to ensure safe deliveries and recoveries
Float to the emergency department for 1:1 patient sitting when needed

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP or labor and delivery experience
Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
Willingness to comply with facility facial hair and fit testing policy

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of AWHONN staffing guidelines and nurse-to-patient ratios
Proficient in titrating and managing common labor and postpartum drips
Experience with EFM systems (OB Trace Vue) and interpreting fetal heart tracings
Comfortable with neonatal respiratory equipment (CPAP, BiPAP, high flow)
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
