Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, rotating weekends and holidays as needed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers and newborns in a rural LDRP unit
Triage patients and manage both low- and high-risk pregnancies
Function as the baby catcher and transition nurse for newborns
Monitor fetal heart tones using OBIX system and titrate Pitocin as needed
Collaborate with on-call OB and anesthesia teams (20-minute response time)
Assist with deliveries and provide postpartum care to mothers and babies

Qualifications

At least 1 year of recent L&D experience with LDRP training
Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
Must be able to triage and serve as baby catcher/transition nurse
BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN EFM certifications required

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in labor and delivery nursing, including LDRP and triage
Ability to function independently in a rural hospital setting
Knowledge of fetal monitoring and interpretation (EFM)
Comfortable with titratable drips like Pitocin
Strong communication and teamwork skills
