RN (Registered Nurse) - Long Term Care

Location: Garrison, ND

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend and every other major holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $58 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Take charge of the nursing unit, coordinating care for long-term residents
Administer medications accurately and safely on schedule
Perform wound care and monitor healing progress
Collaborate with the DON and on-call physicians to ensure resident well-being
Document in Matrix EMR and maintain compliance with facility policies
Support CNAs and other team members to deliver compassionate care

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state – we can help with endorsement!
Current BLS certification (AHA or equivalent)
Minimum 1 year of Long Term Care experience strongly preferred
Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays
Comfortable working independently as charge nurse

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in LTC nursing, including medication pass and wound care
Familiarity with Matrix EMR or similar long-term care systems
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Compassionate communication with residents and families
Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
