Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, rotating weekends (F,S,S), includes holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring women, newborns, and postpartum patients in a rural LDRP unit
Perform triage assessments and manage active labor as the primary nurse
Function as baby catcher and transition nurse for newborns immediately after delivery
Monitor fetal heart tones using OBIX EFM system and follow AWHONN guidelines
Collaborate with on-call OB providers and anesthesia team for emergent deliveries
Administer and titrate Pitocin as needed, and assist in the single OR suite for C-sections when required

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of L&D experience with training in LDRP
Ability to triage and function as baby catcher/transition nurse
Current certifications: ALS, NRP, AWHONN EFM
Willingness to work in a rural hospital setting with limited staff resources

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of fetal monitoring and AWHONN guidelines
Experience with Pitocin titration and managing labor drips
Ability to work independently and make critical decisions with limited backup
Excellent communication skills for coordinating with remote providers and on-call teams
