Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Days 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or Nights 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population including those with CHF, diabetic wounds, pneumonia, COPD, and post-surgical conditions
Monitor and interpret telemetry, titrate drips as needed (Heparin, Bumex)
Collaborate with a supportive team including CNAs, charge nurses, and house supervisors
Float to other departments as needed to assist as 'helping hands'
Ensure patient safety and comfort in a 19-bed unit with excellent staffing ratios

Qualifications

Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Oregon RN license or ability to obtain a 90-day emergency license
Minimum 1-2 years of Med/Surg experience preferred
Comfortable with telemetry monitoring and titration of drips
Ability to float and assist in other departments
General pediatric experience a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of common Med/Surg diagnoses and treatments
Skills in patient assessment, medication administration, and wound care
Ability to titrate IV drips (Heparin, Bumex)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Adaptability and willingness to float as needed
