Location: Bismarck, North Dakota

Start Date: 07-13-2026

End Date: 10-12-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend, holidays as needed

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $58 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to patients undergoing total joint replacement, spinal surgery, and abdominal procedures
Manage post-operative care including drains (JP, Hemovac) and colostomies
Monitor and administer occasional heparin drips, PCA pumps, and TPN
Collaborate with charge nurse and patient care techs to ensure optimal nurse-to-patient ratios
Perform bedside shift report to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state
BLS certification required
Surgical and post-operative experience preferred
First-time travelers welcome

Knowledge & Skills

Post-operative nursing and early ambulation techniques
Total joint and spinal surgery patient care
Understanding of urology and bariatric procedures
Ability to float to medical and telemetry units
Comfortable with remote telemetry monitoring
