Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients on a specialized Visual Monitor Unit
Monitor telemetry and respond promptly to cardiac rhythm changes
Collaborate with behavioral health techs and security to ensure patient safety
Administer medications and perform essential nursing skills including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Support patients with both medical and secondary psychiatric diagnoses
Float to ED psych holds or MedSurg floors as needed to support the broader care team

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of Level 1 trauma experience in a 600+ bed facility
Strong MedSurg/Telemetry skills with a genuine interest in working with patients who have behavioral health needs
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam (two attempts allowed) and complete SIMs Lab skills on day one of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition
Cerner electronic medical record system
Sterile technique and infection prevention practices
Patient safety protocols including video monitoring and restraint procedures
Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams including psych MDs and security
