Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend, self-scheduling

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and PCU patients in a mixed medical-surgical and progressive care unit
Administer chemotherapy and monitor patients for side effects and response
Manage titratable drips such as heparin and cardizem with confidence
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed to support the team

Qualifications

At least 1 year of recent PCU and oncology nursing experience
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
ACLS and BLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification required at submission
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Driver's license required at submittal

Knowledge & Skills

Experience with EPIC electronic medical records
Familiarity with ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000)
Ability to titrate insulin and cardizem drips
Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
Charge nurse experience a plus
