Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating days and nights, including every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide intermediate care for patients with cardiac conditions including CHF, A-fib, and post-CVICU recovery
Titrate critical drips such as amiodarone, nitro, nicardipine, and epinephrine
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips remotely and at bedside
Collaborate with thoracic, EP, and cath lab teams for comprehensive patient care
Float to units with same or lower acuity as needed
Maintain a 1:4 or 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio for post-surgical patients

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state (NLC)
At least 1 year of recent experience with this patient population
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Valid driver's license required at submittal
Must be 50+ miles from the facility and not employed by any CommonSpirit affiliate

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in titrating multiple IV drips for blood pressure and heart rhythm management
Strong telemetry interpretation skills
Knowledge of CVU patient types: post-cath, structural heart, thoracic surgery
Ability to handle BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula equipment
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
