Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend, every other holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a telemetry/cardiac unit
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, read strips, and titrate drips including Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Nipride, Lasix, and low-dose Dopamine
Manage PCU-level overflow patients with a 1:3 ratio
Collaborate with charge nurse and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to PCU, MS, and ER holds as needed to support the team
Provide education and support to patients and families
Document care accurately in Epic system

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state (NLC)
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU/telemetry experience
Must be able to independently read and interpret cardiac strips
Experience with titrating cardiac drips required
First-time travelers welcome to apply
EPIC experience preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac and telemetry monitoring skills
Proficiency in reading and interpreting cardiac strips
Ability to titrate multiple drips safely
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Adaptability to fast-paced, high-acuity setting
