Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to labor and delivery patients and mother-baby couplets
• Monitor and manage titratable drips including magnesium, oxytocin, and other medications
• Support women during antepartum, labor, and postpartum phases
• Collaborate with charge nurses and surgical teams to ensure safe deliveries
• Utilize EFM System (OB Trace Vue) for fetal monitoring
• Float to MSP/ED for helping hands and one-to-one patient sitting as needed

Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP or labor and delivery experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Comfort with neonatal ventilation equipment (CPAP, BiPAP, high flow)
• Ability to work independently in a rural hospital setting with limited immediate NICU access
• Must meet facility facial hair fit testing requirements (clean-shaven or pass alternative fit test)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical skills in labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Proficiency in titrating IV drips and managing obstetric emergencies
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, rural environment
• Familiarity with OB Trace Vue EFM system (preferred)
