Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM start with variable end times, block scheduling with manager, call coverage required

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $98 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist surgeons as the first assistant during complex orthopedic, robotic, neuro, GYN, and vascular procedures
Provide expert scrubbing support and anticipate surgeon needs throughout each case
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care from pre-op through recovery
Float between campuses as needed to support the broader surgical services team
Maintain sterile technique and uphold the highest standards of patient safety

Qualifications

Active RN license in California with RNFA certification
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Proven experience in ortho, robotics, neuro, and GYN surgical specialties
Strong scrubbing skills and comfort working in a fast-paced OR environment
Ability to take call with 30-minute response time and float between campuses

Knowledge & Skills

Expert knowledge of robotic systems including DaVinci platform
Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical records
Deep understanding of orthopedic, neurosurgical, GYN, and vascular procedures
Strong communication and teamwork abilities in high-acuity settings
Flexibility to adapt to varying case lengths and call schedules
