Location: Baudette, Minnesota

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM and 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every 3rd weekend and 3rd holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care across both MedSurg and ER units, adapting quickly to patient needs
Admit, discharge, and transfer patients while maintaining excellent continuity of care
Titrate critical medications and manage complex drips including insulin, amiodarone, cardizem, and levophed
Start IVs, manage PICC lines and ports, and respond confidently during codes and trauma situations
Read and interpret cardiac strips independently while documenting findings accurately
Collaborate with hospitalists and work independently in a small, supportive team environment

Qualifications

Active RN license in Minnesota or compact state
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
ER experience required to float between MedSurg and Emergency Department
Ability to work independently with minimal staffing and strong communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

Titrate medications and manage critical drips
Start IVs and work with PICC lines and ports
Participate in codes for cardiorespiratory, stroke, and sepsis situations
Respond to trauma cases and follow EMTALA regulations
Read and document cardiac strips using Mindray monitors
Adapt quickly to a variety of patient acuities from swing bed rehab to critical care
