Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert nursing care to patients during the overnight shift
• Perform thorough assessments and document findings clearly and promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely and in accordance with policy
• Serve as an advocate for patients and families, explaining care plans and answering questions
• Maintain accurate charting in the electronic medical record and support continuity of care
• Respond to emergencies and escalate concerns to providers in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (required)
• Experience or training in MST-related care or trauma-informed approaches (preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS and specialty certifications a plus
• Comfort working independently on overnight shifts with strong clinical judgment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams
• Reliable transportation and availability for the scheduled per-diem overnight shift

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Completion of an accredited nursing program and successful NCLEX-RN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Knowledge of medication administration and safe handling protocols
• Trauma-informed care principles and sensitivity to MST-related needs
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient/family education and team collaboration
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced overnight environment
