Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered overnight nursing care to assigned patients
• Assess and monitor patient status, including vital signs and telemetry as indicated
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly in the EHR
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support continuity of care
• Respond quickly and effectively to changes in patient condition and emergencies
• Educate patients and families with empathy and clarity during transitions of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or eligibility to obtain one
• Experience or training with MST specialty care is highly desirable
• Current BLS required; ACLS preferred where applicable
• Prior acute care or med-surg/telemetry experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, reliable night-shift stamina, and excellent communication skills
• Ability to pass required background checks and credentialing in a timely manner

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent nursing degree

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and monitoring skills
• Familiarity with MST clinical protocols and trauma-informed care approaches
• Telemetry monitoring and basic dysrhythmia recognition
• Medication administration and IV therapy proficiency
• Good documentation practices and comfort with electronic health records
• Teamwork, prioritization, and clear handoff communication
