Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing care procedures for patients across the lifespan
• Conduct timely and accurate patient assessments and document findings
• Follow physician orders and hospital policies to deliver safe, evidence-based care
• Make independent clinical decisions within scope of practice to support positive outcomes
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and ancillary staff
• Provide compassionate patient and family education and support
• Maintain required certifications and participate in unit quality improvement activities

Qualifications

• Current, full, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the U.S.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in an acute or sub-acute setting
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
• Complete TCAR (Trauma Care After Resuscitation) within six months of hire
• Complete NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within six months of hire
• Strong clinical judgment with the ability to work independently and follow established protocols

Knowledge & Skills

• Med/Surg nursing and acute/sub-acute care experience
• Patient assessment and clinical documentation
• Independent clinical decision making and triage
• Following physician orders and hospital standards of care
• Trauma care principles (TCAR) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Basic and advanced cardiac life support (BLS and ACLS)
• Culturally sensitive care, especially for Native American communities
