Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality pediatric acute nursing care across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Perform clinical nursing procedures and monitor patients, using independent clinical decision-making
• Respond to emergency situations and support resuscitation efforts per hospital protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions with compassion and clarity
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record
• Follow physician orders, standards of care, and hospital policies to ensure patient safety

Qualifications

• Current, full, unrestricted RN license from any U.S. state, territory, or Puerto Rico
• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association
• Complete Pediatric Trauma Care After Resuscitation (P-CAR) within 6 months of hire
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) completion within 6 months of hire
• Comfortable working independently and making clinical decisions in a busy referral center

Education

• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

Knowledge & Skills

• Pediatric nursing and acute care expertise
• Clinical nursing procedures and strong assessment skills
• Experience with inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services
• Pediatric trauma awareness and resuscitation skills
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to prioritize, triage, and manage multiple patients in acute settings
