Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality echocardiography studies with attention to image quality and diagnostic accuracy
• Ensure patient safety and comfort while explaining procedures in a friendly, reassuring way
• Document findings clearly and timely in the patient record
• Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment and ensure proper infection control practices
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to support excellent patient outcomes
• Provide on-call coverage as needed and respond professionally to urgent requests
• Participate in competency testing and quality assurance processes to continuously improve service

Qualifications

• Valid echocardiography licensure/certification as required by the facility
• BLS certification required
• DCI/BVP certification required
• License/Certificate Verification must be completed prior to start
• Ability to work Saturday, Sunday, and Monday and be available for on-call shifts
• Must meet facility health and screening requirements (drug screen, TB testing, vaccinations, fit test, color-blind test)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in echocardiography techniques and image acquisition
• Knowledge of standard protocols and cardiac anatomy relevant to echo exams
• Strong patient care and communication skills
• Ability to follow infection control and safety procedures
• Comfortable with competency testing and checklist-driven performance assessments
• Dependable, adaptable approach to weekend and on-call coverage
