Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations accurately and efficiently using established imaging protocols
• Position and prepare patients with compassion, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the procedure
• Optimize image quality and troubleshoot technical issues to support accurate diagnoses
• Adhere strictly to MRI safety standards and infection control procedures
• Collaborate with radiologists and the care team to review images and prioritize urgent cases
• Maintain thorough, timely documentation in the patient record and imaging systems
• Perform routine equipment checks and coordinate maintenance or service when needed

Qualifications

• ARRT (MR) certification or equivalent MRI technologist credential preferred
• Minimum 2 years of MRI technologist experience (as listed in the posting)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification
• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology or MRI program
• Ability to obtain or hold required Florida licensure/certification for the assignment
• Strong patient care skills and professional communication
• Willingness to work 12-hour evening/night shifts for the duration of the 13-week assignment

Education

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, MRI Technology, or related field from an accredited program
• Completion of an accredited MRI technologist program is preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of MRI physics, safety, and contrast handling
• Familiarity with common MRI protocols and pulse sequences
• Experience with PACS/RIS and image archiving workflows
• Skilled at patient positioning, immobilization, and comfort techniques
• Ability to recognize and escalate critical findings to radiology and clinical teams
• Good time management and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
