Roles & Responsibilities

• Assure patient drug therapy needs are met through clinical oversight and accurate dispensing
• Oversee drug distribution operations including unit dose and IV admixture preparation
• Provide clinical pharmacy services and medication therapy management in collaboration with the care team
• Maintain strict compliance with state and federal laws, regulations, and hospital policies
• Contribute to teaching activities, mentor staff, and support pharmacy education efforts
• Perform administrative duties and participate in quality improvement and research initiatives
• Use pharmacy computer systems effectively to document and verify medication orders
• Communicate proactively with patients, nurses, and providers to optimize medication outcomes

Qualifications

• Hospital pharmacy experience required (must be more than retail experience)
• Experience with unit dose systems, IV admixtures, and drug distribution workflows
• Strong computer skills and comfort with pharmacy information systems
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently (self-directed)
• Demonstrated knowledge of and adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
• Willingness to participate in teaching, administrative tasks, and clinical research as needed
