Roles & Responsibilities

Lead and supervise imaging staff including Lead and Senior Technologists, ensuring high-quality patient care and operational efficiency
Manage daily staffing and scheduling to meet budget and productivity targets while supporting staff development
Implement and support department performance improvement and program development initiatives
Maintain and enforce image quality control, policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance (Joint Commission, ACR, Title 17, Title 22)
Serve as a clinical resource and educator to patients, families, students, staff, and other departments to promote coordinated patient-centered care
Monitor departmental function, report service and satisfaction levels to the Director, and take corrective action when needed
Collaborate with engineering and clerical teams to coordinate equipment service and daily imaging operations

Qualifications

Current full Certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by the State of California OR current ARRT license
Current CPR certification
Minimum five years as a working Diagnostic Technologist in an acute-care setting
Minimum two years supervisory experience in an acute-care setting; 3–5 years prior supervisory/managerial experience preferred
Certification in a specialized area (NMTBC, MRI, or similar) is desirable
Proven leadership, communication, problem-solving, and staff development skills

Education

Associate Degree (minimum) in Radiologic Technology or related field

Knowledge & Skills

Strong working knowledge of Joint Commission, ACR standards, Title 17 and Title 22 compliance
Expertise in patient care, positioning, radiographic exposure, and image quality control
Understanding of radiation physics, radiation protection, and radiobiology
Performance improvement, quality assurance, and regulatory implementation skills
Ability to manage resources, evaluate departmental needs, and make data-driven recommendations
