Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac telemetry continuously and respond promptly to alarms and changes
• Perform thorough patient assessments and maintain clear, accurate documentation
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and per protocol
• Collaborate with physicians, RRTs, and interdisciplinary team members for coordinated care
• Complete Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklists to maintain expertise
• Uphold infection control practices and participate in required health screenings and fit testing

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) — ability to provide license/certificate verification
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, NIHSS
• Completion of Trinity-specific competency testing and skills checklist
• Current fit test and required health screening/compliance (drug screen, vaccines, TB testing, etc.)
• Strong telemetry experience and comfort with cardiac monitoring and emergency response

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry interpretation and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Medical-surgical nursing best practices
• Patient assessment and critical thinking in acute care settings
• Proficient documentation and charting skills
• Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced units
• Familiarity with unit-specific competency testing and skill maintenance
