Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care on a 60-bed Med-Surg/Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, responding promptly to changes in patient status
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy using Alaris infusion pump systems
• Document care accurately and efficiently in Epic to support continuity and safety
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans
• Support and mentor teammates while contributing to a positive, team-first culture
• Assist with safe patient transfers and care for a diverse adult population with occasional pediatrics

Qualifications

• Active RN license eligible for practice in Nebraska (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience preferred
• Demonstrated experience with telemetry and medical-surgical nursing
• Familiarity with Epic electronic medical record and Alaris IV pumps
• Valid driver’s license required at time of submittal (radius rule applies)
• Ability to demonstrate a positive, team-oriented attitude and cultural sensitivity
• Willingness to complete and pass an orientation skills exam (90% pass threshold)
• Provide COVID vaccination status and standard onboarding documentation at submission

Education

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BSN not required (not listed as required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Medical-surgical nursing assessment and interventions
• Proficient charting in Epic and clear clinical documentation
• Competence with IV pump programming and medication safety (Alaris)
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills
• Ability to care for a culturally diverse population (Korean language a plus)
• Flexibility to float to acute rehab and geriatric psychiatry units
