Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality echocardiographic studies to support accurate cardiology diagnoses
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring images meet clinical standards
• Communicate findings and collaborate with physicians and care teams to promote patient-centered care
• Provide compassionate patient preparation, education, and monitoring before, during, and after procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure timely documentation of procedures
• Participate in on-call rotation and weekend coverage to ensure continuous patient services
• Complete required competency exams and skills checklists to maintain clinical excellence

Qualifications

• Licensed Echo Technologist (state license/certification required) — must provide License/Certificate verification
• Current BLS certification required
• DCI/BVP certification required
• Willingness and ability to take call and work weekends — do not apply if you cannot meet this requirement
• Successful completion of Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam
• Must complete required health screenings and immunizations (drug screen, TB testing/PPD or negative chest x-ray, COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, influenza, fit test, color-blind test)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in echocardiography procedures and imaging techniques
• Strong patient care and communication skills for working with diverse populations
• Comfortable with on-call workflow and variable scheduling
• Attention to detail for documentation and maintaining high-quality images
• Familiarity with competency testing and specialty exam preparation
• Ability to follow infection control and occupational health requirements
