Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate bedside care and support to patients during overnight hours
Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and feeding
Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver safe care
Ensure a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
Support patient mobility and fall prevention efforts throughout the shift

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) required
Active/state-appropriate nursing assistant license for California preferred
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Comfortable working 12-hour overnight shifts and available for per diem assignments
Strong communication skills, compassion, and the ability to work as part of a team

Education

High school diploma or GED required
Completion of an accredited nursing assistant training program (CNA)

Knowledge & Skills

Basic patient care and ADL assistance
Vital signs measurement and documentation
Infection control and safe patient handling
Familiarity with charting and basic EHR documentation
Effective communication with patients, families and clinical team
Time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
