Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to establish baseline function and therapy goals
• Design and implement individualized treatment programs using therapeutic exercises and activities
• Provide splinting, adaptive equipment training, and instruction in energy conservation and joint protection
• Deliver sensorimotor integration and visual perceptual-motor remediation therapies
• Conduct home assessments and design home programs, educating patients and families on carryover
• Administer prevocational assessments and training to support return-to-work goals
• Maintain timely, accurate patient documentation in accordance with departmental and HIPAA standards
• Consult with schools, nursing homes, visiting nurse associations, and other external agencies
• Participate in quality improvement activities, department in-services, and required trainings

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy required
• Current valid Washington State Occupational Therapist license required (or actively in process)
• One year of related experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply
• Ability to complete mandatory education and regulatory requirements on schedule
• Professional communication skills and the ability to represent the organization positively in the community
• Comfort with computerized time systems, email communication and attending required meetings

Education

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy

• Diagnostic evaluations and treatment planning
• Therapeutic exercises, splinting, and adaptive equipment training
• Sensorimotor integration and visual perceptual-motor remediation techniques
• Fine-motor coordination and upper-extremity prosthetic training
• Prevocational assessment and program administration
• Home program design and patient/family education
• Strong documentation practices and HIPAA compliance
• Ability to consult with external agencies and write professional reports
