Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide on-site medical care and emergency response for athletes and active patients
• Perform injury prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, and development of rehabilitation plans
• Manage concussion assessments, symptom monitoring, and supervised return-to-play progressions
• Document all evaluations, treatments, and care plans accurately and promptly
• Communicate findings and care plans clearly with athletes, families, coaches, and medical teams
• Cover athletic events and after-school activities at contracted high schools
• Conduct occupational health services including post-offer employment testing, desk assessments, and functional progress assessments
• Coordinate schedules and coverage for events and clinic responsibilities
• Serve as a physician extender in the orthopedic clinic, including taking histories, scheduling surgeries, and educating patients

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, or Kinesiology required
• Minimum 1 year of related work experience
• Current Athletic Trainer license for the state of Wisconsin required
• Board of Certification (ATC) credential required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Valid, current driver’s license
• Strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal communication, and problem-solving skills
• Intermediate to expert computer proficiency

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, or Kinesiology required
