Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor the nutritional needs and growth of NICU infants
- Develop individualized nutrition care plans including enteral and parenteral strategies
- Collaborate closely with neonatologists, nurses, and therapists to optimize outcomes
- Adjust feeding regimens based on tolerance, lab results, and clinical changes
- Provide family-centered education and counseling to support infant nutrition
- Document care accurately in the medical record and complete required competency exams
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance neonatal nutrition practices
Qualifications
- Active California dietitian licensure/credentials required to practice in CA (must have all credentials and certs)
- DCI/BVP certification required
- Completion of License/Certificate Verification prior to start
- Successful completion of Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam as required
- Current health requirements: COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, TB test/PPD or chest x-ray, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, Varicella, Tdap, 10-panel drug screen, Fit Test
- Prior NICU or neonatal nutrition experience preferred
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field required; Registered Dietitian credential (RD/RDN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of neonatal growth, metabolism, and nutrient requirements
- Experience with enteral and parenteral nutrition in neonates
- Ability to interpret labs and adjust nutrition plans accordingly
- Excellent interdisciplinary communication and family education skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and accurate charting
- Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking in high-acuity settings
