Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in a substance abuse treatment setting
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Assess patients regularly, monitor changes, and report concerns promptly
• Maintain clear, timely clinical documentation and charting
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support recovery goals
• Follow facility policies, infection control protocols, and safety procedures
• Support a therapeutic environment that respects patient dignity and recovery

Qualifications

• Current California LVN license (Licensed Vocational Nurse)
• Full-time availability for the posted schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM
• Good attendance record required and NO TOR as noted in the order
• Willingness to work a contract travel/registry assignment at SATF

Education

• Vocational Nursing diploma or equivalent (LVN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical nursing skills and patient assessment ability
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Familiarity with mental health/substance abuse care environments
• Effective communication and teamwork with clinical staff
• Ability to follow protocols, maintain safety, and manage challenging situations
• Accurate and timely electronic or paper charting skills
