Respiratory Therapist

Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Start Date: 05-31-2026

End Date: 08-30-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, team scheduling with weekend requirements every third weekend for days and every other weekend for nights

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional respiratory care to patients from neonates to geriatrics across all inpatient floors
Perform EKGs, bedside bronchoscopies, and bedside spirometry with precision and care
Collaborate closely with providers, nurses, and fellow therapists to ensure seamless patient outcomes
Adapt quickly to varying patient needs and care environments throughout the hospital
Manage time effectively while maintaining high standards in a fast-paced setting

Qualifications

Current RRT or CRT credential required
BLS and ACLS certifications required
NRP and PALS preferred
Recent Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience strongly preferred
Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility and not be employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency with Drager, Servo I, and Carefusion ventilators
Experience with Vision, V60, V30, and Respironics S/T BiPAPs
Familiarity with Airvo2 high-flow systems
Strong time management, flexibility, and adaptability
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
