Location: Baudette, Minnesota

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM and 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every 3rd weekend and 3rd holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care across both MedSurg and ER units, floating as needed to support patient needs
Admit, discharge, and transfer patients while maintaining clear communication with the care team
Titrate critical drips including insulin, amiodarone, cardizem, and levophed with precision and safety
Start IVs, manage PICC lines and ports, and respond confidently during codes and trauma situations
Read and interpret cardiac strips independently while documenting findings accurately
Collaborate with hospitalists and work independently in a small, close-knit facility

Qualifications

Active RN license in Minnesota or compact license
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
ER experience is a must - this role requires comfort working in both emergency and med-surg settings
Ability to work independently with minimal staffing and strong clinical judgment

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for swing bed, med-surg, and emergency patients
Experience with titratable drips, trauma response, and cardiac monitoring
Comfort using Meditech EMR and following EMTALA regulations
Flexibility to float between departments and adapt quickly to changing patient needs
