Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Wednesday-Sunday, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized care to neonates in a Level III NICU environment
Monitor and manage ventilators and central lines for critically ill newborns
Collaborate with OB/GYNs, Neonatologists, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists
Float to Mother-Baby and L&D units to support newborn transitions and well-baby care
Follow AWHONN/NANN staffing guidelines to deliver safe, high-quality care
Serve as a safety advocate when floating to other units as needed

Qualifications

Active RN license with at least three years of NICU experience
BLS and NRP certifications required
Strong critical thinking, communication, and multitasking abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Valid driver's license required at time of submittal

Knowledge & Skills

Experience caring for neonatal patients on ventilators and with central lines
Understanding of AWHONN/NANN staffing ratios and care guidelines
Comfortable floating between NICU, Mother-Baby, and L&D units
Skilled in continuous, intermediate, intensive, and multi-system support care
