Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:00 AM - 7:00 PM, every other weekend and holidays required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to patients with CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, and CKD on a busy 18-bed Med/Tele unit
Monitor telemetry and confidently read cardiac strips to keep patients safe
Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and educators who are always there to support you
Float to sister Med/Surg units when needed, broadening your skills and making an impact across the hospital
Partner with PCTs and respiratory therapists to manage CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen patients

Qualifications

Active Texas or compact RN license
Current BLS certification
Strong communication and time-management skills
Ability to read telemetry strips
Willingness to float to other Med/Surg units

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Managing patients with CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, and CKD
Excellent communication with patients, families, and the care team
Time management in a fast-paced 6:1 ratio environment
