Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
Circulate during C-sections and support the surgical team in our modern suites
Monitor fetal heart rates and respond quickly to any changes using advanced technology
Float between L&D, postpartum, and NICU units to support growing families across the continuum of care
Collaborate with OB techs, charge nurses, and on-call specialists to ensure safe, smooth deliveries
Educate and comfort families, including Spanish-speaking patients and those with limited prenatal care

Qualifications

Active California RN license
2-3 years of recent L&D/PP experience
Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN fetal monitoring certification
Prior travel contract experience preferred
Ability to circulate C-sections and float between units as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Strong fetal monitoring interpretation
Cerner EMR and FetalLink experience
Comfortable caring for high-risk deliveries and substance-exposed newborns
Excellent communication with diverse patient populations
Team-oriented with flexibility to float to postpartum, L&D, and NICU
