Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate cardiac telemetry care to patients recovering from MI, CP, and lung transplants
Monitor and interpret EKGs using Philips equipment while delivering safe, high-quality nursing care
Manage non-titrating drips and support patients on CPAP and high-flow oxygen
Collaborate with a dedicated Charge Nurse and PCT team to maintain excellent 1:3-4 patient ratios
Float to sister telemetry units when needed and contribute to a cohesive, supportive care environment
Complete required SIMs Lab skills for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred
Strong EKG interpretation skills
Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam with up to two attempts
Must have reliable transportation for travel team assignments

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac step-down and telemetry monitoring expertise
Comfortable with Cerner EMR and bedside PCs
Skilled in sterile technique and central line care
Able to float across multiple telemetry units
Professional appearance standards including natural hair color and clean-shaven for fit testing
