Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate bedside care to a diverse patient population including surgical, neuro, and telemetry patients
Interpret and document telemetry strips each shift to ensure patient safety
Collaborate with remote monitor techs and the interdisciplinary team for seamless care delivery
Float to East Campus or PCU when qualified to support facility-wide needs
Deliver patient education on post-op recovery, diabetes management, and stroke prevention

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Ability to read basic telemetry strips confidently
Prior experience with general surgical, orthopedic, CVA, and TIA patients preferred
Cerner experience is a plus given the one-shift orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and rhythm recognition
Post-operative care for general, orthopedic, and spinal surgery patients
Stroke and TIA patient management
BIPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen support
Cerner electronic health record navigation
