Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care that promotes comfort and enhances quality of life for residents
Lead and mentor Resident Assistants with coaching, training, and education on proper nursing techniques
Deliver safe, professional care following facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards
Coordinate primary care and follow each resident's individual plan of care with attention to detail
Practice the Choices Philosophy of Care by treating every resident with dignity and respect
Maintain safety standards using universal precautions and proactive communication about concerns

Qualifications

Active Alaska LPN licensure required
Current American Heart Association BLSP (CPR) certification required
1 year of Long Term Care nursing experience preferred
New graduates welcome with 8-12 month preceptorship at Heritage Place
Strong assessment skills and commitment to resident-centered care

Education

Associate's degree in nursing

Knowledge & Skills

Leadership and oversight of nursing support staff
Accurate medication administration and order implementation
Infection control and bloodborne pathogen safety practices
Planetree patient-centered philosophy application
Clear communication and teamwork across disciplines
