Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and monitor critically ill patients, making timely interventions
Administer medications and therapies safely and accurately
Operate and manage ICU equipment, including ventilators and monitoring systems
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care
Document patient status, treatments, and changes in condition in the medical record
Respond effectively to rapid changes in patient condition and emergencies
Provide compassionate family communication and education during stressful times
Promote patient safety, infection control, and evidence-based practices in the ICU

Qualifications

Active RN licensure in California or ability to obtain licensure
Experience caring for critically ill patients in an ICU setting preferred
Current BLS certification required; ACLS strongly preferred
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills with attention to detail
Comfortable with invasive monitoring, ventilator management, and titratable drips
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Education

Nursing diploma, ADN, or BSN; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care assessment and intervention
Ventilator management and respiratory support
Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
Medication administration and IV titration
Proficient charting in EMR systems
Infection prevention and ICU protocols
Calm, decisive action in high-pressure situations
