Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations accurately and efficiently
• Operate radiographic equipment while adhering to safety protocols
• Position patients and ensure image quality for accurate diagnosis
• Apply radiation-safety best practices to protect patients and staff
• Document procedures and maintain clear patient records
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, clinicians, and patients
• Assist in maintaining equipment and reporting any malfunctions promptly

Qualifications

• Valid California Radiologic Technologist license (required)
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification preferred or required per facility
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
• Experience performing diagnostic X-ray exams; comfort with 10-hour shift schedules and occasional weekends
• Strong patient care, communication, and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
• ARRT certification and California state licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with radiographic positioning and imaging protocols
• Familiarity with PACS and basic radiology IT workflows
• Knowledge of radiation safety and ALARA principles
• Ability to work with diverse patient populations and manage challenging situations
• Excellent attention to detail and image quality assessment
