Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare radiopharmaceuticals accurately and safely for diagnostic procedures
• Perform camera quality control and routine NRC-required daily and weekly QC
• Conduct general nuclear medicine imaging procedures with patient-centered care
• Prepare and monitor EKGs for cardiac exams and ensure accurate cardiac data collection
• Receive, document, and manage radioactive shipments according to protocol
• Operate and troubleshoot department equipment including SIEMENS Dual Headed ECAM with ESOFT, CAPTUS 3000, and NMISGE MAC 5000
• Monitor patient vitals and provide basic life support as needed during procedures
• Maintain clear, compliant documentation and adhere to radiation safety procedures
• Float to other units as needed based on competency, contributing flexibility and teamwork

Qualifications

• ARRT or CNMT in Nuclear Medicine (required)
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Active Hawaii State Nuclear Medicine license required by assignment start (if not currently held, candidate must apply upon acceptance)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine
• Demonstrated competency with radiopharmaceutical preparation, camera QC, and NRC QC procedures
• Comfortable with floating to other departments based on competency and licensure

• Radiopharmaceutical preparation and handling best practices
• Nuclear medicine imaging techniques and patient positioning
• Camera quality control and NRC-required daily/weekly QC procedures
• EKG preparation and cardiac monitoring during nuclear cardiology exams
• Receiving and documenting radioactive shipments and radiation safety procedures
• Familiarity with SIEMENS Dual Headed ECAM with ESOFT, CAPTUS 3000, and NMISGE MAC 5000
• Patient monitoring and basic life support skills
• Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills
