Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the unit nursing team to deliver safe, compassionate patient care
• Coordinate patient flow, admissions and discharges to maintain smooth operations
• Oversee care plans and nursing documentation to ensure clinical accuracy and continuity
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and experience
• Monitor unit performance metrics and drive quality improvement initiatives
• Ensure regulatory compliance and support preparedness for surveys and audits
• Coach staff, conduct performance feedback, and support professional development

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Pennsylvania (required)
• Experience in unit management or team leadership (preferred)
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS or other advanced certifications preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and delegation skills
• Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and organizational abilities
• Ability to pass facility background checks and meet credentialing requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Leadership and staff supervision in an acute or post-acute care setting
• Patient care coordination, nursing documentation, and care planning
• Familiarity with infection control standards and regulatory requirements
• Medication administration safety and clinical judgment
• Proficiency with electronic health records and basic computer skills
• Quality improvement mindset and data-driven problem solving
